17 - 19 September 2021
I would like to extend an invitation to the ASOHNS 71st Annual Scientific Meeting, in the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. With the restrictions of COVID felt locally, nationally and internationally our intention is to hold a physical meeting in Melbourne, welcoming the majority of delegates in person and providing a solid virtual collegiate connection to our overseas colleagues. By September, we hope that with vaccine rollouts, travel is possible between Australia and New Zealand at a minimum. While our International keynote speakers and delegates may need to participate online, our experience of a rapid pivot to a fully online meeting for our March 2020 ASM has given us the expertise and wisdom to provide a high-quality virtual attendance so that we are in the room together. I hope you can join us for engaging educational sessions covering the breadth of our surgical specialty as well as an understanding of some of the non-technical aspects of practice. The conveners plan to bring you a program designed for all otolaryngologists. Melbourne offers a range of arts activities, world-renowned wining and dining, excellent coffee and of course sporting events. The city is easy to navigate and boasts one of the largest tram networks. Further afield, visitors can travel the Great Ocean Road and the Yarra Valley region. While attending the ASOHNS ASM we suggest you make the most of a staycation and ask you to extend your stay, play tourist and see more of our beautiful country. As it will have been over two years since the last non-virtual Annual Scientific Meeting, we look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne to engage with colleagues and exhibitors in person.
The 71st ASOHNS Annual Scientific Meeting is being held in Melbourne, September 2021, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. As conveners, we are delighted to invite you to a meeting exploring ‘Excellence in ENT’. We have put together a program reflecting cutting edge developments in our field, as well as sessions about surgical professional development and optimising our patients outcomes in all aspects of their ENT care, both in emerging areas and in our routine day to day practice. We are also running a broad range of satellite workshops, covering laryngology, sleep surgery, RACS courses and other areas. We look forward to welcoming you to Melbourne in 2021 for all that the meeting and our city has to offer.
